I don’t normally do this type of thing but sometimes you read something that is so spot-on, you just have to share it with the masses (however small they might be.)

I have been a fan of the DC character of Catwoman pretty much my whole life. I got even more into her in the early 90’s with her Chuck Dixon/Jim Ballant run. I have a rather large tattoo proving my love for the character. If you ask me nicely, I might show it to you sometime.

But, sadly, I’m not a fan of the current incarnation of my beloved character. I don’t like how she’s being written. I don’t like how she’s being drawn. And, I gave the current run a lot more issues than it deserved, hoping to be proven wrong. But, nope. Still hate it.

Anyway, I digress.

But I came across this great little essay that sums up the abomination that is DC’s Catwoman Issue 0 cover.

I wish I knew who wrote it so I could give the author the proper credit he or she deserves and tell he or she that I may have just a little bit of a crush on him/her.

yep, it’s true. I was finally able to lower the prices on some of my paperback novellas. starting RIGHT NOW, you can get Suicide Girls, Wall of Kiss and/or Mother Puncher for $4.99 at Amazon. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for quite a while and given my observations of last week, the deal finally went through at the (almost) perfect time.

Here’s the amazing cover for my upcoming novel from Dark Regions. It was done by the uber talented Wayne Miller and I absolutely LOVE it. It takes my breath away every time I look at it. I just hope the inside of the book is even half as impressive.

Not sure yet of the exact release date of this nasty little pup, but I will keep you posted.

(Also, kudos to poor Wayne who had to study more than his fair share of fly close-ups. I hope he’s not too traumatized by the experience.)

Hey kids! How are you all today? Are you in the holiday spirit or, like me, barely aware that it’s even happening? It’s Monday morning here in the pacific northwest-gray and wet, as usual. Kinda nice if you live the vampire life like I do. I’m barely awake and haven’t had any coffee yet, but it will be my reward for doing this blog post. Yay!

Have you noticed I’m rambling? Delaying gratification for all involved, I suppose.

But anyway, on to the news!

I’m absolutely beyond stoked to announce a new partnership between myself and Raw Dog Screaming Press , one of my most favorite presses of all time. STOKED! I’ve always dreamed of working with them, but never thought it would really happen. But now it has and together we will be bringing you not one, not two, but THREE books by me in the near future. What will those books be? You’ll have to watch this space for that answer, but I’m pretty sure if you like my stuff, you’re gonna dig them all.

This is an amazing holiday gift for me. The new year is looking brighter than ever. I hope this news makes some of you guys happy as well.

I am happy to be making a new book announcement today!

November 2011 will see the release of a different kind of novel from me, called Off. No horror to be found, but it’s definitely a little on the strange side. I’m not even sure how to describe it. Absurdism, I guess.

It’s about a woman who is devastated after a break-up and tries to kill herself and things get really strange from there. I know that probably sounds horrific, but you’ll see. Hopefully it’s humorous.

Anyway, Off will be coming out from Belfire Press and I’m very happy about that. They’re publishing some of my favorite authors and I’m really looking forward to working with them. They’re great folks over there, so do seek them out!

In other news, I have a LOT of hustling to do this month, so I’ll probably not be around online quite as much. I’ll try to pop in now and then to share any tidbits of info I might have, but I’ll mostly be keeping my nose to the grindstone in order to meet three different deadlines.
