“Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.”
The Talmud

since there is no news, chew on this:

“Refuse to fall down. If you cannot refuse to fall down, refuse to stay down, lift your heart toward heaven like a hungry beggar, ask that it be filled and it will be filled. You may be pushed down. You may be kept from rising. But no one can keep you from lifting your heart toward heaven-only you. It is in the middle of misery that so much becomes clear. The one who says nothing good came of this is not yet listening.”

Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Truer Words

“the truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: a human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive. to him… a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god, and failure is death. add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create – – – so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. he must create, must pour out creation. by some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating.. “

HAPPY GINADAYS!

Tis the season or so they say.

I wanted to do something special for my readers and would-be readers this holiday season and what better way than to knock a few bucks off the cover prices of my books. Everyone is hurting these days, but you know what I’ve found? Sometimes escapism is the best medicine and if my work can provide anyone with that—even if for only a couple of hours—then I’m a happy camper. I have been extremely blessed in what I do and it’s you guys—the readers—who have given me that blessing. So, thank you for that, and know that I have nothing but love for you all, always.

If you want to grab any of my books for three dollars off the cover price, (PLUS FREE SHIPPING) just drop me a line and I’ll hook you up. This offer will stand until December 25th.

Know also that the books will be signed, inscribed, doodled on—whatever tickles your pickle—AND you just might get a little something extra from me.

So, there you have it. A gift from me to you.

Please pass this news along to anyone who you think might be interested and have yourself an amazing holiday season!

Infinite love and thanks-
g.

After years of being told I need an actual website, I finally broke down, played around and this is the result. Nice and simple, even for a computer illiterate like me.

Not positive yet what I’ll be doing with this space besides updates and probably a lot of crazy randomness. I’ll try to keep it more professional than my journal, but I can’t make any promises in that regard. I’m just not a very serious type of person.

Other stuff I might do here: post excerpts from as-yet-unpublished works, plug events and friends, ramble on about the writing biz and make a monkey out of myself. (I’m already quite skilled at that one.)

I’m always open to suggestions, so if you can think of anything else you’d like to see here, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line and let me know. Or just drop a line to say howdy. Or Hola! Or Greetings, Earthling! I think you’ll find I’m pretty friendly to all types of beings.

So, I guess that’s it for now. Gotta get back to work on an ooey gooey, slippy slidey story about needles and eyeballs and how the two should never mix.

Until next time—beware of the brown corn!
