So…I’m very happy to announce that the Deluxe Edition hardcover of Dark Surge has already sold out over at Dark Regions. Thanks so much to those of you who ordered it! The news made my night and probably my entire week. You are some serious rockin’ mofos!

You can still preorder the trade paperback and I hope lots of folks do just that. I’m really proud of this demented little tale and think it’s my one of my best so far. You can preorder at the Dark Regions site or over at Horror Mall.

There will be more news soon. Watch the skies!

Dark Surge Pre-orders

Hey guys! I am back to tell you that you can now pre-order my upcoming horror novel Dark Surge. Weeee! I’m excited!

If you are one of those guys who loves to collect super-rare editions of things, you should hurry over there to grab one of the Deluxe Thirteen Editions. It’s pretty dang fancy.

Also it will be available in a snazzy trade paperback as well.

So, that’s the current books news I have for you. Go over there and order something, even if it’s not mine. We should all support Dark Regions, an absolutely fantastic press.

In other news, I’m bummed about the passing of Elizabeth Taylor. I just watched GIANT a couple weeks ago. I always thought of her as kind of a brunette Marilyn Monroe. Sad day. Into the light, Liz…

Dark Surge

Here’s the amazing cover for my upcoming novel from Dark Regions. It was done by the uber talented Wayne Miller and I absolutely LOVE it. It takes my breath away every time I look at it. I just hope the inside of the book is even half as impressive.

Not sure yet of the exact release date of this nasty little pup, but I will keep you posted.

(Also, kudos to poor Wayne who had to study more than his fair share of fly close-ups. I hope he’s not too traumatized by the experience.)

correspondences

Just a really quick note to say that I have gotten woefully behind in my correspondences as of late. I’ve been getting totally slammed in the email department and keeping up has become a little tough. So, if you’ve written and haven’t heard back from me yet, I apologize. But you will! It’s just taking me a little longer to get back to folks.

If it’s been more than a couple weeks, feel free to drop me a reminder saying, “Quit ignoring me you ungrateful hack!” But, ONLY if it has been more than a couple weeks. I promise to get back to you asap. Thanks for your patience!

Now, back to coffee and slinging words…

Unearthed is now up for pre-order over at Horror Mall, so be sure you go order one soon, as the print run is only 150 and it’s sure to sell out fast.

I’m really proud of this book and honored to be working with Delirium, a press with a long history of putting out amazing books by outstanding authors. I can’t wait to hear what you guys think of this one-my first Lovecraftian-ish story.

Also, Happy March! I heard it’s official peanut butter month. Go eat some! It’s good for you!

I now have my own section over at Brian Keene’s forum? It’s true! So, despite having forsaken all forums- umm, maybe two years ago?- I’m now gonna be jumping back into that saddle and chatting about work stuff, random stuff, silly stuff, sexy stuff.

Ok, maybe not sexy stuff, but you get the idea. Come say howdy. I’m sure I’ll eventually make a putz out of myself and you don’t want to be the only one who misses it!

Plus, you can chat with a whole slew of awesome writers (including the mighty Keene himself) and fans alike. Do it! Go register and get your chat on!

Huge thanks to Brian for including me. He’s a rad guy and a great writer. If you haven’t read his stuff–what the hell is wrong with you????

Unearthed

In case you missed it, I’m extremely excited to announce that May will see the release of my brand new novella Unearthed in a limited edition from Delirium Books. As a long-time fan of this press, it has been a dream of mine to work with them-a dream I didn’t think I’d ever realize, but WEEEEEE- it happened. I’m so happy. 🙂

I hope you guys all snag a copy as soon as it becomes available. I think we’re keeping the story itself on the down low for now but in the meantime, check out this awesome cover art by Daniele Serra.

I post this probably once a year or so, because I love it so much. Apologies to any who have read it before.

OLD ABSOLUTELY DOESN’T MEAN RIGHT
Unknown

I don’t care how old your tradition is,
or how old your belief is,
or how socially accepted it is.

Old absolutely doesn’t mean right.

It’s not cool to eat a tiger

It’s not brave to hunt whales

It’s not spiritual to drink bear gall bladder

It’s not clever to hang a deer head on your wall

It’s not a public service to kill sharks

It’s not patriotic to club seals

No matter how sanctioned or revered it is,
It’s violent and it’s ugly and it’s soulless.

Just like slavery,
and child labor,
and police brutality,

And genital mutilation,
and ethnic cleansing,
and lynching,
and torture,
and rape,
and military dictatorships,
and Holy wars.
They’re old, too.

Old absolutely doesn’t mean right.

Slowly but surely, we’re trying to get all my stuff available for Kindle and as of today you can pick up my bizarre love story Wall of Kiss for only 99 cents. Good news, right? Hope all you Kindle fans will check it out and let me know what you think.

How’s your new year going so far?  I’m hoping to be able to make a very cool announcement soon. Just waiting on the publisher’s okay. I think you’re gonna like it, though. 🙂

Love to all!

SGITA now on Kindle

Fire up those new Christmas Kindles, folks. Suicide Girls in the Afterlife is now available for $0.99! Now you can join Pogue and all her crazy friends on their wacky adventures through the Sterling Hotel for less than a buck. Can you even ride a bus for that anymore? I have no idea. But I do know this: if you like dreamy, silly, surreal stories, you’ll probably like this.

Hope your new year has been rocking so far and that you give my little goofy tale a try.

And, please, PLEASE, hug those you love and keep them close always. Never let them forget how much they mean to you.

Mad love,
g.
