Here’s an interview that just went live a couple weeks ago over at Planet Green. It was conducted by the wonderful and talented Mickey Z, whose work you absolutely should be reading. The man is a genius. Check him out NOW!
Hopefully before month’s end I’ll be able to share some very cool news with you guys. Fingers crossed!
Here’s another old interview I did ages ago and can’t really remember giving it. It’s better than yesterday’s though, I think. Well…it’s longer anyway. This time it’s from the wonderful Dream People. Lots of other cool things to click and dig while you’re there too.
When you’re finished reading, you should go out into the fresh air and french kiss someone who hates you. That’s what I’m about to do. 🙂
Just found this old interview I did. Must have been soon after the release of Suicide Girls in the Afterlife. I don’t remember it at all, but it was kinda cool to stumble across it. It was for Paper Dragon, I guess. Not even sure if those guys are still around anymore.
Enjoy!
The new book, House of Fallen Trees, has arrived. She has all her fingers and all her toes and giggles when you tickle her under her chin.
Also, you can sleep with her under your pillow and be inspired to dream up your own spooky, toothy tales. We can’t be held responsible for the nightmares you may have, though. Just be warned: Two men do have the carcass…
The trade paperback for my horror novel House of Fallen Trees is now up for pre-order at Grindhouse Press. I’m really excited that everyone will be able to read it next month. It was a fun one to write and I’m looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks about it.
The cover art was done by the brilliant Brandon Duncan, who captured the mood of the novel perfectly.
You can’t hear it, but I’m doing the Xena: Warrior Princess yips right now. 🙂
Right HERE.
Just thought I’d share.
I came across this list somewhere-no clue who wrote it. But, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, I thought I share it with you all. You should read it and memorize it, for the good of all humankind.
Sexual Assault Prevention Tips Guaranteed to Work!
1. Don’t put drugs in people’s drinks in order to control their behavior.
2. When you see someone walking by themselves, leave them alone!
3. If you pull over to help someone with car problems, remember not to assault them!
4. NEVER open an unlocked door or window uninvited.
5. If you are in an elevator and someone else gets in, DON’T ASSAULT THEM!
6. Remember, people go to laundry to do their laundry, do not attempt to molest someone who is alone in a laundry room.
7. USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM! If you are not able to stop yourself from assaulting people, ask a friend to stay with you while you are in public.
8. Always be honest with people! Don’t pretend to be a caring friend in order to gain the trust of someone you want to assault. Consider telling them you plan to assault them. If you don’t communicate your intentions, the other person may take that as a sign that you do not plan to rape them.
9. Don’t forget: you can’t have sex with someone unless they are awake!
10. Carry a whistle! If you are worried you might assault someone “on accident” you can hand it to the person you are with, so they can blow it if you do.
And, ALWAYS REMEMBER: if you didn’t ask permission and then respect the answer the first time, you are commiting a crime — no matter how “into it” others appear to be.
“To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in the United States. The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.”
I was going to put up a bunch of links and whatnot but the above is a great site with a lot of info. My hope is that you guys will check it out and give it some thought and pass it on to others. No woman should live in fear and maybe someday we’ll no longer have to.
PEACE! ❤
